The presentations focused on advances in simulation, modeling and machine learning.

Graduate researchers from the Texas Nuclear Digital Twin Program recently presented at the 15th International Topical Meeting on Nuclear Reactor Thermal-Hydraulics, Operation and Safety (NUTHOS-15) in Kashiwa-no-ha, Japan. With more than 400 participants from 28 countries, the conference provided a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge, strengthen international connections, and shape the future of nuclear science and engineering.

Charlie Owen, Braden Pecora and Ethan Rozak each presented at the conference, focusing on advances in computational tools for molten salt reactor research, including enhanced simulation capabilities, integrated modeling approaches and machine learning applications. Their work helps researchers better understand complex reactor behavior and supports the development of next-generation nuclear energy systems.
